My mother had her birthday a week ago and we did all sorts of fun things.We managed to eat at a fancy restaurant with the kids, get the card and gifts ready, throw 2 parties (one my mom knew about and one which was a surprise).
I did have my hands full that week. I had to bake 3 different cakes for the Sunday and to make it hard one had to be kept as a secret. Fortunately everything went according to plan and I got all the cakes done and they actually tasted good. The sad part was that I didn’t get a photo of the last cake which was the most interesting one. Oh well…I’ll have to bake it for you guys some other day.

Very light and fluffy lime cheese cake
Brita cake: my youngest could not resist the strawberries and she managed to grab a handful of them. In the end she also decided to grab some of the cake as well.
Birthday card and gift
The flowers were created using the Tim Holtz Tattered flowers die and Sizzix scalloped circle dies. The scalloped circles are from felt.
