Cottage life

The summers here in the north have been somewhat magical these past few years. The warmth and how plants grow has been amazing. In Finland summer is spent at cottages away from the cities. It is a beautiful time but a very short one so therefore we all tend to just surround ourselves with nature when it has burst into life.

This is the reason why crafting has been put aside a little. But just a little!

Our own onions, salads, spinach, potatos, strawberries, zucchinis, carrots etc. What more can I ask for. And the berries are still to come.

Cottage life is wonderful and most of all I am grateful for all the healthy foods that we can start harvesting now and I can give to my kids. There is nothing more greater than to be able to provide food that is clean and full of important vitamins.

Our forests are now also full of blueberries that the children have been eating each evening while we sit outside and enjoy the evening sun. What more can I say as a mom but I am glad to live in a place that can offer these great natural ingredients to my children.
