I made quick and easy washi tape crowns for my girls a few days back. I let the girls choose the tapes they wanted on their crowns so that they felt they could be part of the fun process as well. At least I remember that choosing something wonderful was always fun when I was little.
All you need is a toilet paper roll, washi tapes, scissors and elastic cord. Tape the toilet paper roll with the washi tapes. Cut the roll into crown shape and poke small holes at the bottom.
Then just put the elastic cord through the hole and measure the cord so that it fits the princess. 
Real easy and would very likely work at a girls’ birthday party also.
